"I attended the Outback Filmmaking Course in 2021 where I co-wrote and co-directed the short thriller "Shelter". The course was an incredible learning experience, as we were thrown into the thick of it as soon as we arrived. Learning to make films and inspire creativity in such a tough and unique environment was challenging but I came through the other side more resilient and with a passion for location shooting. Learning to contextualise a landscape within a story then execute our final vision despite the challenging environment taught all of us invaluable skills. My experience at the Outback Filmmaking Camp later inspired me to return for my graduate project "Solitude" where we shot our 15-minute film in Winton, QLD."
